Zug, Switzerland / Milan, Italy, 18 May 2010 - Infront Sports & Media is partnering with the National Basketball Association (NBA) to promote the 2010 NBA Europe Live presented by EA SPORTS™ opening game between AJ Milano and the New York Knicks on October 3. For the fifth consecutive year, fans across Europe will experience the best the NBA has to offer across four countries.

As one of the leading international sports marketing agencies, the event is Infront’s first major basketball project in Europe.

“Infront will combine its sports marketing know-how with its network of basketball and event experts,” said Marco Bogarelli, Member of Infront’s board of directors and President of Infront Italy. “This will mean a great experience for fans and at the same time efficient brand visibility for sponsors.”

The Swiss-based sports marketing group will be working closely with the NBA on venue preparation, sponsorship and staffing, whilst also handling ticketing and hospitality. The project will be managed by Infront’s Italian subsidiary based in Milan.

Following the sold-out 2009 NBA Europe Live Tour which was televised in 209 countries, expectations are equally high for the upcoming event this year. The opening game of the NBA Europe Live Tour at the Mediolanum Forum is sure to provide gripping action and the best of sports entertainment. Specifically the return of Italian basketball star Danilo Gallinari, who previously played for AJ Milano before being drafted by the Knicks, is sure to generate increased excitement.
